MARING MARNORAP BANGALORE
The Marings are one of the Naga tribal groups based in the Southern part of Manipur. The name “Maring” is derived from the word “Meiring” Where “Mei” stands for “fire” and “ring” stands for “alive” which means the people who keeps the fire unquenched/alive. According to oral legends, Marings were once living inside a cave called “Nungmeiso” in Kulvi-Shongshong, it was later scattered in many other directions. In remembrance and keeping the memories of the ancestors of the Maring tribe and for the welfare, Maring Students’ Union Bangalore which is also officially known as Maring Marnorap Bangalore was established in the year 2008 under NSUB with the motto ‘Preservations and preparedness’.

The Poumai Naga Students' Union Bangalore ( Poumai Naga Tsiidoumai Me Bangalore, PNTMB) as a sub union was registered under NSUB on 6th August 1995 as the fifth sub union with Mr. Role Krono as its founding President and Mr. P A Veini as founding General Secretary. The motto of PNTMB is “Learn and Shine” The union consisted of just 11 members back then in 1995 and has today reached a mile stone with over 1000 Poumai members in Bangalore, including both registered and unregistered members under NSUB and is designated as one of the major sub unions in NSUB. The Poumai Naga Union Bangalore is known for its unity and hardworking nature. TANGKHUL NAGA WELFARE SOCIETY BENGALURU
The Tangkhul Naga are one of the major Naga tribes, predominantly living in Ukhrul District of Manipur, with some communities in Myanmar. With a population of around 2 Lakhs, we are spread across approximately 380 villages. Each village is rich in culture, language , and tradition, making the Tangkhul diverse yet united.
Our ancestors are believed to have migrated from Makhel, a place of origin shared by many Naga tribes. The Tangkhul language, part of the Tibeto-Burman familiy, has several dialects, but the Hunphun dialect is widely used for education and communication.
The Tangkhuls were originally animists, but the arrival of the Christian Missionaries in the late 19th Century led to mass conversion and since then, it has become central to our community life.
We are known for our colorful festivals like Luira Phanit( seed-sowing festival) , traditional dances, music, and hand woven shawls. Village councils uphold customary laws, and many civil society organisations guide and lead our community towards progress.
Beyond Manipur, Tangkhuls have made their mark across India. In Bangaluru alone, around 3500 Tangkhuls reside. Of these, nearly one-fourth are students, while the rest are engaged in various professions including IT, health care, education, hospitality, and business. The Tangkhul Naga Welfare Society Bangaluru ( TNWSB ) earlier known as Tangkhul Katamnao Long Bengalore (TKLB) established in 1986, serves as a unifying body - caring for the spiritual, cultural, and social well-being of the community. It plays in preserving identify, fostering unity, and supporting both students and working professionals living away from home.
Even as we grow with the times, we remain proud of our roots, traditions, and the strength of our people.

ZELIANGRONG STUDENTS’ UNION BANGALORE
Zeliangrong Students' Union Bangalore was formed by our farsighted Zeliangrong leaders and elders chaired by a dynamic officer late Mr. Amusena Kabui (IFS) way back in 1997 on August 16th with the Motto 'For Glory Unite'. This platform had been addressing the needs of the Zeliangrong people coming from three different States namely Nagaland, Manipur, and Assam in various areas since its inception in the city. It is also pertinent to mention that ZSUB is not exclusive in its approach but believing in universal brotherhood has extended helping hands to many other North East communities and local people in its capacity.
